Reference Number 0000276281 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/09/23 02:00:00 PM EDT Scope of Work. 1.1. Areas where Services shall be performed include, without limitation: (i) Vehicular thoroughfares, parking, drop-off areas, driveways and service lanes, truck access parking and loading areas, garbage collection areas and all emergency vehicle access routes; (ii) Pedestrian thoroughfares, all building entrances / exits with particular emphasis given to emergency entrances / exits; (iii) The Service Provider is required to monitor weather and provide immediate service for any type of precipitation during the term of this contract; (iv) All designated areas used for the movement or departure and arrival of helicopters and aircraft excluding that area regulated by Transport Canada and designated as the manoeuvring surface of an airport (a portion of taxiway will be included); (v) Service provider is required to plow part of the ramp as the airport will only do it when able (after runways and taxiways are cleared); (vi) Provide power sweeping with every snow plowing and as required; (vii)Service provider to use material used by the local Airport Authority, as identified in section 8 below, for the tarmac and apron surface de-icing to be applied after each snow/freezing rain or as needed; (viii) Service provider shall monitor and ensure that no accumulation of anti-skid material or de-icing agent in the snow plowing area. Contractor must sweep and remove it upon request from Ornge; (ix) Within 2 weeks of the end of the snow plowing season, the service provider shall tidy up the grounds including removing winter accumulation debris and sweeping and disposing of the residual anti skid material remaining on the snow plowing area and in the hangar door tracks; and (x) Service provider shall provide ice and accumulation control of tarmac and apron area on an ongoing basis. Particularly during snowfall, ice rain or any other event that makes the apron/tarmac areas dangerous for personnel and aircraft movements. 1.2. As identified in Appendix F, the Service Provider shall not place snow on top of, around or near the septic system or septic field; 1.3. The supply and application of ice melter on all walkways and salt in the parking lot; Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
