Training physicians and other healthcare professionals to practice statewide in Kentucky is of major importance and to do that effectively, the College of Medicine and other healthcare colleges at the University of Kentucky need the space available to grow the number of medical/healthcare students to meet the needs of the Commonwealth. As part of the College's planned growth strategy, this would establish a world-class medical education facility that will become the hub of medical education in the Commonwealth and beyond.
