Pre-Bid Meeting No Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 09/19/2024 2:00 PM (PDT) Contact Info Elia Alvarez 909-350-6605 ealvarez@fontanaca.gov The City of Fontana and the Housing Department invites any experienced and qualified housing general contractors to submit a Statement of Qualifications for the Lead Hazard Reduction Program. The City has received funding from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Lead Hazard Control & Healthy Homes (OLHCHH). These funds are to be used to repair any portion of a home that was impacted during lead hazard abatement performed as part of this program. Additionally, funds can be used to remediate household hazards identified during property inspections to be in the following categories: - Damp and mold growth - Excess cold - Excess heat - Asbestos, Silica, and other man-made mineral fibers - Biocides - Carbon Monoxide & fuel combustion products - Radiation - Uncombusted fuel gas - Volatile Organic Compounds - Lighting - Pest Control, etc Other Details Those contractors who qualify through this process will be put on the Lead Hazard Control/Healthy Homes General Contractor Roster ("Roster"). Based on various reports and physical inspections, City staff will create a scope of work for each property. Contractors will be assigned to a property on a rotating basis and asked to provide pricing and timing. If the selected contractor is not available for their assigned job, the City has the right to reassign a property to another contractor on the Roster who can meet the project requirements. The questionnaire must be signed under penalty of perjury in the manner designated in the form, by an individual who has the legal authority to bind the Contractor on whose behalf that person is signing. If any information provided by a Contractor becomes inaccurate, the Contractor must immediately notify the City of Fontana and provide updated accurate information in writing, under penalty of perjury. The City of Fontana reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and omissions in the information contained in the pre-qualification application submitted, to make all final determinations, and to determine at any time that the qualification procedures will not be applied to a specific future public project. Contractors who submit a complete qualification package will be notified of their qualification status after all submissions have been reviewed, scored, and reference checks have been completed.
