Sheridan Blvd. Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District is seeking bids for bridge skirting and railing repairs on 2 bridges at the Greg Mastrionia Golf Course Lake 8. The Lake 8 Bridge crosses a pond at hole # 8 at the Greg Mastriona Golf Course. Photos of the existing bridge are included. Bidders are requested to examine current conditions, measure for quantities and provide recommendations for repair according to the following descriptions: The existing bridge has wooden skirting below the deck and wooden runners on the railing. The existing posts and rails are metal and appear to be in good condition. The skirting is to be replaced with powder coated or similar pre coated metal panels. The wooden frame behind the panels appears to be in good condition. It should be inspected and repaired as needed. The metal brackets behind the frame appear to be in good condition. should be inspected and repaired as needed. All existing metal frames, brackets, attachments and other metal pieces are to be sanded or sandblasted and recoated. Specs for coating will be provided. The wooden runners on the railing are to be replaced with vertical metal pickets. The gap between pickets is to be 4" or less. A second shorter bridge crosses the Farmers Highline Canal near the pond. It will be repaired in the same manner as the Lake 8 bridge, with the exception of the skirt. This bridge does not currently have a skirt or brackets, but should be added. Railing repairs will be included. Include a description of recommended repairs, how repairs are to be made, quantities of materials and recommended repairs. Provide cut sheets and or spec sheets on materials to be used.
