Renovation of a municipal facility in Matane, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The building at 150 Dion Boulevard in Matane QC was built in 1976. Several deficiencies have been identified over the years on the building envelope, which led to the repair of all the roofs, as well as the repair of the brick walls of the warehouse portion of the building in 2019-2020. This mandate will consist of conducting a complete assessment of the remainder of the vertical envelope (walls, curtain walls and windows) of the building, for the sections not affected by the 2019-2020 work. The roofs AND the warehouse portion of the building are therefore EXCLUDED from the project. The project will include the assessment of the condition of the existing envelope with exploratory breakthroughs, the development of options for corrective works/maintenance of the integrity of the vertical envelope, production of a feasibility report (RF) and support for the drafting of the Business Case 2 (BC2). The options proposed in the BC2 and BC2m will have to be subject to a simple energy assessment. TIMELINE: Contract for consulting services to complete a building assessment has been concluded.
