The Henry County Water Authority provides water and wastewater service to about 65,000 residents and businesses in mostly unincorporated Henry County, Georgia. Henry County is a community of approximately 240,000 residents southeast of Atlanta. HCWA was created as an independent agency by the Georgia legislature in 1961. Any contractor wishing to submit a proposal and be considered for this solicitation shall be a Licensed Contractor with a minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in a similar scope and service of work. Estimated Issuance if Notice to Proceed 10/23/2024 While HCWA has every intention to make an award as a result of this solicitation, issuance of the ITB in no way constitutes a commitment by HCWA to award and execute a contract. Upon a determination such actions would be in its best interest, HCWA, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to:
o Cancel or terminate this ITB at any time. A notice of cancellation will be
issued. If the ITB is cancelled, HCWA will not reimburse any Bidder for
preparation of its Response. Responses may be returned upon request if
unopened;
o Reject any or all Responses received, make a contract award based
directly on the Responses received in the best interest of HCWA, in its sole
discretion, or enter into further discussions with one or more Bidders;
o Waive and/or amend any undesirable, inconsequential, or inconsistent
provisions/specifications of this ITB which would not have significant impact
on any response;
o Make partial award or no award if it is in the best interest of HCWA to do
so.
o Terminate any contract if HCWA determines adequate funds are not
available.
o Waive and/or amend any undesirable, inconsequential, or inconsistent
provisions/specifications of this ITB which would not have significant impact
on any bid;
o Terminate any contract for cause or convenience.
