The Town of Gordonsville, Virginia, hereinafter referred to as "the Town", is soliciting bids for landscape maintenance services for public areas owned and/or controlled by the Town. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish all personnel, labor, equipment, materials, tools, services and special skills required to maintain landscaped areas as specified in the project scope. All incidental costs including, but not limited to, fuel, travel and insurance must be included in the bid amount submitted to the Town. The Town desires to enter into a one (1) year contract, to commence on November 1, 2024. Project scope The requested landscape maintenance services shall include but not be limited to: Shrub and small tree care: Maintenance of shrubs and small trees including but not limited to pruning, trimming, fertilizing, and replanting. Annual and/or perennial plant care: Maintenance of annual and/or perennial plants including but not limited to trimming, fertilizing and the planting of perennials and/or seasonal annuals (specifically, providing color for Easter, Mother's Day, and July 4th). Weed, pest and disease control: Weeding of all landscaped areas and utilizing herbicides and pesticides as needed for weed, pest and disease control. Mulching: Maintenance of all mulched areas of landscaped beds, and around shrubs and small trees, to ensure proper coverage for erosion control and inhibiting weed growth. The schedule for maintenance shall be as agreed by the Town and the landscaper. Areas covered in this scope include but are not limited to: Town Hall grounds and parking area, including bio-retention feature and landscaped areas along the railroad track behind Town Hall. Cooke Memorial Park located on Main Street, adjacent to Town Hall. Landscaped area in front of the Gordonsville Business Center. Three landscaped areas around the Main Street railroad overpass. Landscaped bed located between the railroad tracks and South Main Street along the sidewalk in front of the Exchange Hotel. Landscaped area within the Town traffic circle and other traffic islands to be developed in the future. Downtown area planting beds in the sidewalks along Main Street and in the medians from High Street north to King Street. Any questions regarding this request should be directed to Deborah S.
