Morrison Fine Arts HVAC replacement Scope: Phased renovation of the HVAC system shall include demo and replacement of chilled water AHU-1 (located in the penthouse) and all associated ductwork and all associated pneumatic systems. Add packaged DX DOAS unit to provide treated outside air to new AHU1. Convert existing plenum return system to duct return. Upgrade all controls to BACnet protocol. Demolish and replace the ceiling grid as needed. AHU-2 & AHU-3 serving the auditorium should also be replaced along with all accessible ductwork. CHW piping connections to be modified, and control valves replaced serving AHU-1, AHU-2 and AHU-3. AHU-1, AHU-2, AHU-3 replacements will need to be modular to assemble on site. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alabama A&M University in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 11:00 AM CST on November 13, 2024, at The University Services Building, Department of Facilities and Administrative Services, Facilities Conference Room located at 453 Buchanan Way, Normal AL, 35762. Site visit to follow. Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory but highly recommended for all General Contractors intending to submit a proposal and Major Subcontractors. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
