Renovation of a municipal facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Proposal submission date has been extended to no later than 2:00 PM on Friday, October 04, 2024. Proposal submission date has been extended to no later than 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 02, 2024 . All questions regarding the plans or specifications for this project shall be directed to the Architect. Any changes to the proposal must be executed by an addendum. All questions regarding the Competitive Sealed Proposal submission(s) shall be directed to Arlene Martinez, Purchasing Specialist, at (361) 695-7350. 2. RESPONSES must be time stamped at the CCISD Office of Purchasing and Distribution before the hour and date specified for receipt of responses. 3. The substantial completion date of this project will be on or before March 4, 2025. 4. It is anticipated that a Notice of Award will be issued by the Corpus Christi Independent School District on or before Monday, October 28, 2024, and that a Notice to Proceed and Purchase Order will be issued within 14 days of award pending District receipt of bonding and executed contract. Offeror agrees that his Proposal is accepted by the Owner, he will complete all work called for in the Contract Documents on or before June 27, 2025, 5. No matter which method of delivery an Offeror chooses (United States mail, courier, hand delivery, or other), it is the Offeror's responsibility to ensure that the proposals are actually received and time stamped in the CCISD Office of Purchasing and Distribution by the deadline specified. Late proposals will be marked "Late" and returned to Offeror. 6. A contract will not be awarded on opening day. The District will only authorize the execution of a contract after consideration of responses and upon conclusion of contract negotiations. Acceptance of responses shall not constitute or imply the District's acceptance of the suitability of the Offeror or responses. Final general conditions cost of work and other qualification details will be divulged after the award, as allowed by state statute. 7. This RFCSP contains the plans and specifications for the project and also includes the evaluation criteria that will be used to evaluate the submitted proposals. Proposal Documents for the project can be obtained from the project architect or engineer. The Proposal must be signed by an individual, identified by name and title, who is authorized to bind the Offeror to a contract. All proposals shall be computed exclusive of the Texas Sales Tax. That is, such tax shall NOT be added to the amount proposed for the project. The CCISD Texas exempt ID# will be provided to the successful Offeror. All questions regarding the plans or specifications for this project shall be directed to the Architect. Any changes to the proposal must be executed by an addendum. All questions regarding the Competitive Sealed Proposal submission(s) shall be directed to Arlene Martinez, Purchasing Specialist, at (361) 695-7350. Proposal Security: 13.1 A certified or cashier's check, or bid bond to be submitted with Pricing Proposal acceptable to Owner, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the largest amount bid must accompany each Proposal submitted. Such bid security is to protect Owner against the withdrawal of bids during the thirty (30) day period following the scheduled date for bid opening, and to further protect Owner against failure, neglect or refusal of any Offeror awarded a contract to execute the required Contract and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notification of the acceptance of this proposal. 13.2 If any Offeror withdraws his proposal within a thirty (30) day period they shall forfeit such proposal security to Owner for such default. If any Offeror whose proposal is accepted by Owner fails or refuses to enter into the Contract provided for by Owner fails or refuses to furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notice of such acceptance, he shall forfeit such proposal security to Owner for such default. 14. Examination of Contract Documents and Site 14.1 Each Offeror, before submitting his Proposals, shall fully examine and acquaint himself with the Contract Documents and the site of the proposed Project. He shall make such investigation, as he may deem necessary to fully inform himself of the existing conditions, facilities difficulties, restrictions and requirements incident to completion of the Project under the terms of the Contract. Offeror shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, as required by law, each in the amount of the full contract price, and each in form promulgated by Owner. Such bonds must be written by a company, or companies, acceptable to and approved by Owner. Owner will not accept a bond written by any company which does not meet all of the following requirements: 16.1.1 The bond must be executed by a corporate surety or corporate sureties duly authorized and admitted to do business in the State of Texas and licensed by the State of Texas to issue surety bonds. 16.1.2 The surety or sureties executing such bond must be listed in the most current issue of U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570 (hereafter called "Surety 570") as an acceptable surety to execute bonds for federal projects. 16.1.3 Offeror will be responsible for bonding the entire job at the time of execution of the Construction Contract and shall include the premium for such bonds in his proposal price.
