Phase 1 – NTP – January 7, 2025 – Scheduled to be complete in 120 days Phase 2 – NTP will be issued once the Alabaster BOE moves out of the Administration Building – Scheduled to be around June 1, 2025, with completion within 60 days of the NTP. The general scope consistsof the demolition of the OldThompson School Campusin two Phases. Phase I is thedemolition of the unoccupiedportion of the campus and adjacent site areas. The Board ofEducation currently occupies aportion of the campus and sitewhich will be demolished inPhase II when the Board vacates the portion they currentlyoccupy. Phase I will commenceupon acceptance of the bid andNotice to Proceed and be completed. Phase II will follow afterwards under a separate Noticeto Proceed from the City. Demolition will include buildings, siteelements and underground utilities. The Owner has the right to disqualify any Contractor that doesnot meet the minimum requirements for providing the qualityof the work expected, or whosesolvency is in question. The City ofAlabaster will receivesealed Proposals from qualifiedContractors for The Demolitionof the Old Thompson SchoolCampus in Alabaster, Alabama A bid bond, payable to The Cityof Alabaster, in the amount of5% of the amount of the Bid, butnot more than $10,000.00, mustaccompany the Bidder’s Proposal. Performance and Laborand Material Payment Bonds inthe amount of 100% of the Contract Price, will be required atthe signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right toreject any or all bids; to waiveformalities and technicalities;and to proceed in its’ own bestinterests.
