Removal and disposal of approximately 430,000 cubic ft or 3.2 MG of Alum sludge from a concrete lined lagoon pond. This pond currently has vegetative growth on top (cat tails) and has an average depth of sludge of 6 ft. The pond is 160 x 300 ft with sloped sides. This pond is located on site at the City of Lumberton Water Treatment Plant at 1451 Lowery St. Lumberton, NC 28358. Removal, pumping, dewatering, and disposal at an approved facility will be the responsibility of the contractor. The city of Lumberton does have a current land application permit in place for this sludge as well. This can be an option for disposal but will need to be coordinated with the current land application contractor that handles the bio solids program from the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Project completion: NLT 30 April 2025
