sealed competitive bids for repair of the roof on the Fire Station located at 133 S. State Street, Divernon, IL 62530. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids after evaluation of bids for either budgetary reasons, a change in the procurement plans of the District, or the failure of any or all bids to be non-responsive or not responsible as determined by the Board of Trustees. The following requirements apply to the work to be performed: Contractor must be licensed and obtain and pay for any required building permit for the project. The present roof is to be replaced with a new shingle roof meeting the requirements of this solicitation. All materials are to be new and meet standard and any applicable building code requirements. Contractor will be required to remove the damaged existing roof and prepare the building for proper installation of the replacement roof. Contractor will be required to dispose of the materials from the existing roof removal including removal of all nails and debris in the station yard. Contractor will be responsible for any disposal fees. Contractor is to replace the existing roof including, but not limited to, drip edge, flashing, rain caps, gutter guard screens, ridge vent and cap, laminated composition shingles, 15 lb. roofing felt, asphalt starter. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
