Other improvements will include road works, landscaping and expansion of the geoexchange system connected to the existing flooded coal mine system beneath campus. This project will consist of 3 stories of structural concrete and 7 stories of mass timber and steel construction. The project is targeting BC Energy Step Code 4. Work is scheduled to start in September 2024 and is anticipated to be constructed in 26 months.
