As of December 4, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on January 2025. The work includes the renovation of the existing Leslie County High School. Work is mainly contain to the first floor and lower level with minimal renovations on the second floor. The demolition work includes, but not limited to: selective demolition of walls, doors casework finishes, concrete slabs, lockers, some areas, plus select items and areas for room reprogramming & renovation. New work includes but not limited to: hollow metal door frames & doors, solid wood doors, door hardware (including access controls), masonry, carpentry, new gypsum board assemblies, casework, science casework, acoustical ceilings, floor finishes, painting, mechanical systems plumbing systems, electrical & IT systems, & fire suppression systems, Media Center facade brick veneer replacement, a few new concrete slabs for reprogramming and renovations. The surrounding buildings and site will be occupied in all phases of construction work. The contractor shall be required to coordinate the contract work with daily school activities.
