Pammel Creek Repairs Phase 1 Description: The work under this contract consists of the first Phase for full depth replacement of damaged concrete joint sections and joint resealing within the Pammel Creek Flood Channel. The work under this contract will also include the replacement of weep hole flap gates with the specified Jet Filter one-way flow devices. The time for commencement of the work shall be no sooner than ten (10) days after Common Council shall have awarded the contract and shall be completed by 5th of December, 2025. Bid Bond Bid Bond or official Bank check shall be in the amount not less than 5% and not more than 10% of total bid. If the successful bidder fails to execute and file the required contract and bond within ten (10) days after the acceptance of the bid, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. A bid proposal will be disqualified because of gross errors in computation which cannot be resolved by mathematical correction without resorting to information not contained in the bid. Bid Guaranty A. The Bid must be accompanied by a Bid guaranty, which shall not be less than 5 percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. At the option of the Bidder, the guaranty may be a Certified Check, bank draft negotiable U.S. Govemment Bonds (at par value), or a bid bond in the form attached. The Bid Bond shall be secured by a guaranty of a surety company rated "B" or better in the Best's Insurance guide. The amount of such Bid bond shall be within the maximum amount specified for such Company in said Guide, No Bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty. Certified check or bank draft must be made payable to the order of "City of La Crosse". Cash deposits will not be accepted. The Bid guaranty shall insure the execution of the Agreement and the furnishing of the surety bond or bonds by the successful Bidder, all required by the Contract Documents. B. Revised Bids submitted before the opening of Bids, if representing an increase in excess of two percent (2%) of the original Bid, must have the Bid guaranty adjusted accordingly; otherwise the Bid will not be considered. C. Official Bank Check or bank drafts, or the amount thereof, Bid bonds, and negotiable U.S. Government bonds of unsuccessful Bidders will be returned as soon as practical after the opening of the Bids. Performance Payment Bond The successful bidder must sign the Contract and Performance Payment Bond within 10 days after the contract is awarded to him/her or before performance of the contract is commenced. Both Contract and Performance-Payment Bond should be signed by the same persons in the same manner in that of the Bid Proposal. The Performance- Payment Bond in the amount of the Contract shall be executed by a corporate surety.
