The Project consists of providing an extension to the campus chilled water distribution system, electrical and communication system at Florida A&M University as shown on Contract Documents as prepared by Pinnacle Engineering Group, Inc. The Work includes purchasing, receiving, off-loading, & installing, new pumps, electrical equipment, valve and communication vaults, piping, pipe accessories, insulation, supports, anchors, expansion compensation, vibration control, air removal and drainage, flushing and cleaning pipes, valves, conduit, variable speed drives, controls and other components and materials as indicated. The work involves installing detectable warning tapes above new underground utilities. The work includes testing, adjusting and balancing and submission of reports. The Work includes earthwork: removing asphalt, concrete, landscaping, etc.; trenching, borrowed fill, compaction, grading and preparation for and installation of new asphalt, concrete, landscaping, sod, etc.; hauling excavated materials offsite; barricades and other safety and protective devices as indicated herein; install measures to prevent runoff, protect existing structures, etc.; clean up and returning work areas to pre-work conditions or improved conditions as indicated. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashiers Check or a Bid Bond equivalent to twopoint five (2.5) percent of the total base bid. Florida A&M University (FAMU), Office of University Housing announces that it is now accepting quotes for the furnishing of Phase II of the University's 700 Bed residential facility.
