Renovation of a mixed-use development in Apex, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The Town of Weare, New Hampshire, is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design, supply, and install a comprehensive water filtration system for the Public Safety Complex which includes the Fire and Police Stations. The goal is to ensure safe, potable water by addressing arsenic contamination and to provide specialized water filtration and treatment for multiple applications within this facility Objectives o Arsenic Removal: Effective filtration system to remove arsenic to meet or exceed EPA standards for potable water. Tested on May 08, 2024, at 0.0098 mg/L. o Water Bubbler: Provide and install a water bubbler in the Safety Complex lobby to ensure continuous supply of ice and hot, cold water. o Ice Machine: Water source for reliable ice production for the Fire Station. o Spot-Free Rinse System: Installation of a system to provide a spot-free rinse for vehicle washing at the Fire Station. Scope of Work: 1. System Design and Installation o Water Filtration System: o Design a filtration system to remove arsenic from the water supply. o Ensure the system meets all local, state, and federal regulations. o Provide recommendations for maintenance and replacement intervals. o A water test was conducted May 08, 2024, and will be provided upon request. o Safety Complex Lobby Water Bubbler: o Install a water bubbler capable of delivering ice and hot, cold water. o Ensure compatibility with the filtration system and building infrastructure. o Fire Station Ice Machine: o Provide water to the ice machine that is integrated with the filtration system. o Ensure the water supply is sufficient ice production capacity for the Fire Station's needs. o Spot-Free Rinse System: o Design and install a spot-free rinse system for vehicle washing. o Ensure the system is effective in preventing water spots on vehicles. 2. Installation and Testing o Site Assessment: Conduct a detailed assessment of the existing water infrastructure at the location. o System Installation: Complete installation of the filtration systems, water bubbler, water delivery to the ice machine, and spot-free rinse system. o Testing and Verification: Perform comprehensive testing to ensure all systems meet performance specifications and regulatory standards. 3. Training and Support o Training: Provide training for Town personnel on the operation and maintenance of the new systems. o Support: Offer ongoing support and maintenance services, including troubleshooting and repairs. Provide an estimate of reoccurring costs for the inspection and maintenance of the system. 4. Timeline o Project Start Date: October 28, 2024, or sooner. o Completion Date: NLT December 15, 2024. 5. Bid Requirements o Detailed cost estimate, including all materials, labor, and any additional costs. o Project timeline with key milestones. o Evidence of relevant experience and past performance on similar projects. o Proof of insurance and bonding. o References from previous clients. 7. Evaluation Criteria o Cost of the proposed solution to include reoccurring costs. o Generalization of material used, non-proprietary. o Compliance with specified requirements. o Quality and durability of materials. o Experience and reputation of the contractor. o Estimated project timeline. Terms and Conditions: o The Town of Weare reserves the right to reject any or all bids. o The Town of Weare will not be responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation of the bid. o The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the Town, not necessarily the lowest price. o The awarded contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
