Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Lakefield, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the construction of a 11,904-square-foot, one-story above grade retail development; for site work for a municipal facility; and for the demolition of a municipal facility.
Project consists of a 64 foot x 186 foot new wood-framed building with a portion of the building constructed with SIPs and a portion ladder-framed. Project also includes the following: demolition, site work, concrete, HVAC, plumbing and electrical work. Work on the Project shall commence as soon as possible in the spring of 2025 after award of the Contract and in conjunction with Owner scheduled work. Owner to be moved out of the current facility by December 31, 2024 for demolition of the current structure to be able to begin January 2025. The project is currently scheduled for a substantial completion date on or before September 1, 2025 with completion by October 1, 2025. Liquidated damages will begin on October 2, 2025 in the amount of $200 a day if project is not completed on or before October 1, 2025. Bids must be a lump sum basis for a single contract. Project is sales tax exempt.
