Housing Authority of the City of San Antonio a/k/a Opportunity Home San Antonio ("Opportunity Home") and its affiliated entities hereby invites qualified independent Contractors to submit bids for labor, materials and equipment to maintain, repair, and install water softener systesm as needed. As a part of our social mission and federal mandate, Opportunity Home is committed to providing economic, training, and educational opportunities to the low-income individuals in the communities we serve. All contractors are required to recruit and hire low-income individuals for new positions and provide training & educational opportunities to the greatest extent feasible for these individuals. Opportunity Home provides housing assistance to more than 65,000 children, adults, and seniors through its Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, and Mixed-Income housing programs. As a compassionate agency, we understand safe and quality affordable housing is the foundation to success, and we have the privilege of managing nearly 70 public housing communities, 46 mixed-income apartment complexes, known as Beacon Communities, and administering nearly 14,000 rental vouchers throughout San Antonio. However, the timeframe for performance may be adjusted at Opportunity Home's discretion in writing and received by the successful Bidder prior to default under any resulting contract.
