A. Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS) - Goodrell Middle School - 3300 E. 29th Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50317. B. The project includes Exterior Vertical Pre-Finished Metal Siding Cladding over the existing upper Cafeteria and Classroom EIFS Walls as reflected in the construction documents. C. DMPS Goodrell Middle School - Exterior Siding Project, which includes pressure washing the existing EIFS surface clean and installation of new prefinished metal wall siding panels on upper cafeteria and classroom walls per drawings and specification and any other misc. repairs as shown in specification and on drawings with all work appurtenant thereto. Preform all repairs and as shown on drawings and required on specifications. D. The contractor is to coordinate with the owner the so as not to intake dust and fumes into the existing HVAC system when performing dusty work or adhesives that contain noxious fumes. Contractor is to securely install filter fabric over all HVAC openings and louvers prior to beginning any restoration work. E. The contractors shall take the required precautions when working on and prepping these surfaces for new paint and the workers shall be protected from lead materials as required by law. Refer to General Conditions of the Contract for more information when working with Lead Paint. DMPS Goodrell Middle School - Exterior Siding Project Doc Note - Commencing SEPTEMBER 26, 2024 copies of the plans and specifications for the Project are on file with and available from: Beeline and Blue, 2507 Ingersoll Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50312; Phone: 515.244.1611. Via their On-Line Plan Room, or for printed sets by calling Beeline and Blue from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (or their posted normal operating hours) and upon depositing the sum of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for each set of the Bid Documents. Deposit checks shall be made out to Des Moines Independent Community School District. The entire deposit will be refunded to bona fide Bidders upon the return of the Documents, in good condition to Beeline and Blue, within fourteen (14) days after award of the contract(s). Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or certified credit union share draft in a separate envelope in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Work under the proposed contract shall be commenced immediately after the award of the contract and shall be completed and ready for operation not later than 180 calendar days after the notice to proceed, subject to any extension of time which may be granted by the Board of Directors. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of the Des Moines Independent Community School District.
