Repointing and Stone Masonry (Culvert Walls at 601 Northern Avenue) sUMMARY: This quotation shall include repointing and stone masonry repairs for the culvert headwalls at 601 Northern Avenue in Hagerstown, Maryland. All applicable material specifications shall be submitted to the County for review and acceptance prior to the start of work. 2. DESCRIPTION: A. The Contractor shall repoint the culvert walls and rebuild parapet ends using existing stones (two parapet ends on the east side and one parapet end on the west side). The Contractor is responsible for any scaffolding needed to complete the work. B. Repointing includes cutting out the remaining mortar joints on both sides of each stone wall and using a Type S mortar that matches the existing color and joint profile. C. The Contractor shall notify the County Highway Department at least one week prior to the start of construction. Lane/shoulder closures using barriers/barricades as needed will be set up by the County Highway Department to facilitate the work at the parapets Question Deadline 09/25/2024 at 4:00 PM ET
