Renovation of an educational facility in Birmingham, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Scope of Work is to include but is not limited to the abatement of spray applied fireproofing, possibly formulated with asbestos, on structural steel beams, purlins, supports, columns, hangers and texture or fireproofing overspray on the underside of the concrete floor slabs where present, piping or other infrastructure. Abatement is to be followed by or in concurrence with replacement of all fireproofing with an approved fireproofing material to be furnished and installed by the Contractor of Record. Small to moderate amounts of other material such as flooring, mastic and finish texture remediation is likely and shall be taken into consideration. UAB Volker Lecture Halls Renovation and Fireproofing Prime Contractors that are properly licensed for this type of work are required to prequalify in order to bid.
