Mercedes 2 MG Elevated Water Storage Tank Reconditioning Project Scope: The removal of existing high performance coating systems and application of new high performance coating systems for the tank interior (wet and dry) surfaces, exterior surfaces, and exposed pipelines. The work includes an alternate bid item for concrete floor coating system. The City of Tuscaloosa has established a goal of ten to twenty percent (10-20%) inclusion of disadvantaged business enterprises (hereinafter sometimes DBE) 1 for all services required to deliver City projects. In no case shall the stated percentage be the determining factor in contract awards. Rather, contractors must demonstrate a good faith effort to attain the desired percentage goal.
