Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hanover, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

This notice is issued to determine interest and capability among qualified small business prime contractors for a future bridge construction solicitation and to assess the potential for a socioeconomic set-aside. The work consists of reconstruction of three bridges and replacement of one concrete box culvert, including demolition of existing structures and construction of new simple-span, precast, prestressed concrete bridges. The scope includes an 80-foot simple span bridge utilizing precast prestressed I-girders with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete deck, a 55-foot-6-inch skewed simple span bridge using precast prestressed voided slabs with a cast-in-place concrete overlay, and a 36-foot simple span bridge using precast prestressed voided slabs with a cast-in-place concrete overlay. An optional work item includes removal of an existing open-bottom concrete box culvert and replacement with a 10-foot by 5-foot reinforced concrete box culvert. Additional work involves drilled shafts, structural concrete placement, epoxy-coated reinforcing steel, bridge rail installation, traffic control services, and associated roadway and bridge construction activities. Construction must account for work in cultural and natural resource sensitive areas with environmental constraints and cold-weather considerations to maintain material quality. The total estimated project cost is between $10 million and $20 million, with construction anticipated to occur from December 2026 through December 2027. Location: Grant County, New Mexico, along State Route 35 near Mimbres, including multiple bridge and culvert sites between milepost 0.5 and milepost 8.42.
