Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and municipal facility.
Scope of Work: The project includes improvements at 6 separate sites in Hillsborough and northern Chapel Hill. Cedar Grove Community Center - 5800 NC Hwy-NC 86, Hillsborough, NC: Floor replacement- approximately 9,500sf. Whitted Building: 300 E. Tryon St., Hillsborough: Window replacement, architectural metal cornice restoration, elevator modernization. Gateway Center - 228 S. Churton Street, Hillsborough NC: Elevator modernization Orange County Courthouse - 106 E. Margaret Lane, Hillsborough NC: Elevator modernization Piedmont Food Processing Center - 500 Valley Forge Rd., Hillsborough NC: Replacement of six windows. Orange County Animal Services - 1601 Eubanks Rd., Chapel Hill, NC: Floor replacement- approximately 11,700sf Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. Contractors shall RSVP to Smith Sinnett Architecture, Drew Wilgus (dwilgus@smithsinnett.com) with the number of members that will be attending the Pre-Bid meeting and provide point of contact information. The County reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
