Renovation of a residential development in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Housing Authority of the City of Durham (DHA or Agency) is an autonomous, non-profit municipal entity created by the City of Durham in 1949 pursuant to state law and the National Housing Act of 1937. The Authority exists to provide safe, decent, and sanitary housing for low-income families in Durham in accordance with the rules and regulations prescribed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other federal agencies. The mission of DHA is to be a leader for affordable housing in Durham County by serving as a housing safety net, promoting individual self sufficiency, and leveraging core housing competencies. To support DHA's mission, the agency manages real estate and participates in the development of mixed income housing. The project consists of the replacement or repair: Club Boulevard: (a) Removal and replacement of floor finishes with new Vinyl Planks Flooring and based board with hi-gloss white paint; (b) Replacement of subflooring; (c) Replacement of new Floor Joist Structure. and add beam/Girder including additional vertical support and Isolated Footing Pad; (d) Install Insulation between the Floor Joist Structure including the support rod. Cornwallis Road: (e) Bathroom Floor Structure Repair Work: e.1. The replacement of the existing floor finishes with new Vinyl Planks Flooring and based board with hi-gloss white paint. e.2. The replacement of Subflooring. e.3. The replacement of Floor Joist Structure. (f) Hallway Floor Structure Repair Work: f.1. The replacement of the existing floor finishes with new Vinyl Planks Flooring and based board with hi-gloss white paint. f.2. The replacement of Subflooring. f.3. The replacement of Floor Joist Structure. (g) Exterior Walls Power Washing; (h) Interior Walls and Ceiling Fungus Remediation Cleaning/Walls and Ceiling Fungus Remediation (Cornwallis Road) Scope: The work in this section includes the removal and cleaning of the walls and ceiling with fungus. The contractor or subcontractor has a full knowledge and experience in cleaning walls and ceiling fungus. (Note: Alternate work will be the replacement of gypsum board, insulation, and studs in case the walls or ceiling is fully damaged with fungus and no other solution than replacement. Reused materials are not acceptable in this work. This work is considered change order and excluded in the base amount work). Question Deadline 10/07/2024 at 3:00 PM ET All questions and requests for information must be addressed in writing to the CO. The CO will respond to all such inquiries in writing by addendum to all prospective proposers Right to Reject any Proposal. Reject and not consider any proposal that does not meet the requirements of this PROPOSAL, including but not necessarily limited to incomplete proposals and/or proposals offering alternate or non-requested services. Right to Reject - Obtaining Competitive Solicitation Documents. The eProcurement Marketplace is the only official and appropriate venue to obtain the competitive solicitation documents (and any other information pertaining to the competitive solicitation such as addenda). Accordingly, by submitting a response to this competitive solicitation the respondent thereby affirms that he/she obtained all information on the eProcurement Marketplace. Any other group such as a proposal depository that informs potential respondents of the availability of such competitive solicitations are hereby instructed to not distribute these documents to any such potential respondents, but to instruct the potential respondents to visit the eProcurement Marketplace to obtain the documents. The Agency will reject without consideration any response submitted from a firm that has not obtained the documents from the eProcurement Marketplace.
