Question Deadline 11/05/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed as listed below. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Architect in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Architect and/or Construction Manager as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. All questions must be submitted in writing as follows. Hazardous materials removal bidding as a concurrent project 2. Selective demolition 3. Building construction for new addition 4. Renovations 5. Associated site work The Work under the Electrical Construction Contract includes all construction and other activities traditionally recognized as electrical work required by any of the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, the electrical drawings, specification Divisions 00, 01, 26, 27, 28 and portions of divisions 02, 03, 07, 08, 11, 12, 13, 14, 31 and 33 as required to complete contract work except when specifically assigned to another contract for construction. Work in the Electrical Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. Demolition of existing electrical systems as noted and required for renovation work. 2. Site excavation required for electrical systems. 3. Site electrical distribution. 4. Site lighting including site pole concrete footing and bases. 5. Site communications and security. 6. The Electrical Contractor shall lock out and tag circuit breakers and switches and shall check cables and wires to ensure they are de-energized to ground potential before Work begins. 7. Electrical distribution. 8. Electrical grounding. 9. Lighting and power branch wiring. 10. Communication and systems. 11. Special electrical systems, including the following: a. Packaged engine generator systems. 12. Electrical connections to equipment furnished under other contracts. 13. Structural supports, hangers, sleeves and inserts. 14. Perform all starting, commissioning, testing, adjusting, balancing and training of all electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations and in conjunction with the Owner's Commissioning Verification and Testing Agent(s). 15. Luminaires, lighting controls and all accessories. 16. Fire detection and notification systems. 17. Conduits and raceway for special systems as required. 18. Card Access System 19. Door access and security systems as defined in Division 08 specifications. 20. Emergency lighting systems. 21. Confirm work with all contractors including, but not limited to plumbing, general and HVAC contractors. Coordinate and confirm locations and rough-in for all work with all contractors. Make location adjustments as required. 22. Cable tray for all work as specified. 23. Raceways for all work. 24. Spare site underground conduits. 25. All rough-in including conduit, pull wire in conduit, and back boxes for all work. 26. Floor and wall boxes for all work. 27. Data and telephone wiring installed in raceways, conduits, sleeves and cable tray. 28. Data jacks and related data equipment. 29. Wireless access system (conduit, Cat 6A cable, patch cord and wireless access point in ceiling). 30. Wiring, terminations, accessories for complete CCTV system (conduit and Cat 6A cable). 31. Furnish and install all accessories, hangers, Velcro wraps, etc. 32. Provide electrical dimensions and drawings and assist HVAC Contractor in preparation of coordination drawings. 33. Food Service connections and accessories. 34. Firestopping of Electrical Contractor Work. 35. Furnish and install armored fiber and inner duct associated with telecommunication systems infrastructure as indicated in Contract Drawings and Specifications. 36. Furnish and install Cat 6A feeder wires for phones. 37. Furnish and install racks, patch panels, cross connect, and punch blocks. 38. Furnish and install wall jacks and face plates. 39. Provide teaching wall classroom mock-up for a typical classroom prior to completing work in all classrooms. The approved mock-up shall be installed in a permanent classroom. a. Provide pre-installation meeting and include Owner and GC. Coordinate all items to be provided by Owner and include in mock-up. 40. Provide equipment and all necessary wiring for interfacing of the following systems: a. HVAC equipment b. Temperature control c. Plumbing equipment d. Gymnasium equipment and operable partitions e. Kitchen equipment f. Motor-operated roller shades 41. Provide final electrical power connection of educational casework. Provide all electrical wiring and devices within educational casework. 42. Furnish and install phones, path cables, PA speakers, exterior door access systems, security cameras, network switches, audio enhancement system, and projectors as described in Contract Documents. 43. The EC is responsible for maintaining power to all areas of the occupied project for all phases of the project. Also see Section 015000 "Temporary Facilities and Controls" for temporary power needs. 44. The EC is responsible for maintaining existing fire alarm system in all Phased areas of construction. 45. Coordinate medium-voltage switchgear installation and line side terminations with local utility. 46. Coordinate removal and relocation of power coming onto the site and all underground power to new transformer and electrical switchgear as shown on drawings. 47. Provide coordination, furnish and install conduit, ductbank vaults, etc. for all power coming onto the site and all underground power to new District-owned medium-voltage switchgear as shown on drawings and in compliance with PPL requirements. 48. Provide all electrical power and data for interface at Fire Pump building.
