This project includes road improvements from 40 Highway to the eastern City limits. Specifics of the project include road widening, profile safety corrections, new curb and gutter, accommodations for pedestrians and bicycles, and improvements to the traffic signal at AA Highway and Adams Dairy Parkway. Maintaining traffic during construction will be a significant challenge with this project Project is included in the FY25-30 Capital Improvement Plan. As of September 2, 2025, further details on design and construction are not available. The project will consist of the following: topographic and boundary survey, development of plans, specifications, contract documents, and estimates, development of right-of-way documentation and exhibits, public involvement, comprehensive utility coordination services, bidding assistance, and construction services. Interested firms may indicate if they provide construction inspection services, however provision of inspection services will not be a scored component of the statements of qualifications. The project design components will include grading, new asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, hydraulic analysis, culvert extension and/or replacement, storm sewer, streetlighting, ADA compliant sidewalks, bike facilities, signing, pavement marking, watermain, and sanitary sewer design. Analysis and design of the intersection at AA Highway & Adams Dairy Parkway may also be included in this project. The design consultant may also be requested to provide assistance with acquisition activities.
