General work description: At the section of Loma Rica Rd between State Route 20 and Fruitland Rd, there are 15 culvert crossings on Loma Rica Road that require replacement. Four of the deepest culverts will have the option via bid alternates to either be replaced or lined with welded steel pipe and pressure grouted. The contract has two separate bid alternates. The County will award to the lowest bid of the alternate it selects. The estimated cost of the project is $634,710.00 Complete the work within 120 working days. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier's check, or bid bond, in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, payable to Yuba County Department of Public Works, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening. The County reserves the right after opening the bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid or bid submittal, and to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, as it may best serve the interests of the County.
