The Project includes the following Work: This contract is split into two main components: water and sewer. Water work, to be supervised by Owner Clarksburg Water Board, includes replacement of main water line, service lines, fire hydrants, gate valves, and water meter settings between the Milford Street Bridge and the Joyce Street Exit along Main and Pike Streets in Downtown Clarksburg. Construction will include all necessary appurtenances, reclamation, and road repair to perform a water line replacement project. Sewer work, to be supervised by Owner City of Clarksburg Sanitary Board, includes replacement of main sanitary sewer line, sanitary sewer laterals, manholes, cleanouts, new storm sewer, drop inlets, storm manholes, and a headwall between the Milford Street Bridge and 5th Street along Main and Pike Streets in Downtown Clarksburg. Construction will include all necessary appurtenances, reclamation, and road repair to perform a construction of new sanitary and storm sewer lines. Sewer work will also include fold-and-form lining of combined sewer lines and poly-lining of existing manholes along a portion of the interceptor near the Milford Street Bridge and also between 5th Street and EB Saunders Way in Downtown Clarksburg. The Work will be substantially completed within 365 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 395 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Parts of the Work must be substantially completed on or before the following Milestone(s): Milestone 1 - All storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water line work along WV Route 20 (Main Street and Pike Street) is to be substantially complete by August 31, 2025 as not to delay the DOH paving project scheduled for fall of 2025. a. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Clarksburg Water Board and City of Clarksburg Sanitary Board in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid Deadline applies to all versions of Contract Plan Set Sheets 1-19, 25, 26, 28-35, and 39-41. b. All remaining work shall be completed by the substantial completion date set forth in Section 4.02. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day to each utility.
