Site work for a civil project in Augusta, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The method of bidding will be as follows: CONTRACT #1 - Water Line Extensions (Phase III): Unit price contract to provide and install 3,800 LF 6-inch waterline; 20,955 LF of 4-inch waterline; 12,810 LF 3-inch PVC waterline; 7,265 LF 2-inch waterline; 360 LF of directional drills; 310 LF of highway bores; 65 LF of highway open cuts; 340 LF of stream crossings; 15 gate valves; 1 fire hydrants; 7 Air Release Assemblies; 9 Flushout Assemblies; and other work required to provide the complete system improvements project. The Bidding Documents may also be examined at Office of the Owner, Central Hampshire Public Service District, 18540 Northwestern Pike, Augusta, WV 26704 Digital copies of the Contract Documents on compact disc may be obtained from the office of Cerrone Associates, Inc. located at 97-14th Street, Wheeling WV 26003, upon payment of the following deposit: Plans and Specifications: Contract 1 - Water Line Extensions (Phase III) $ 50.00 Printed copies of the Contract Documents on may be obtained from the office of Cerrone Associates, Inc. located at 97-14th Street, Wheeling WV 26003, upon payment of the following deposit: Plans and Specifications: Contract 1 - Water Line Extensions (Phase III) $ 250.00 Each Bidder must fully comply with the requirements, terms, and conditions as set forth in the contract documents to achieve Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation during the performance of this contract. The bidder commits itself to the program for DBE participation and all other requirements, terms, and conditions of the bid conditions by submitting a properly signed bid. The bidder agrees to make "good faith efforts" to subcontract a portion of the total value of the contract to Disadvantaged businesses. This shall be done in compliance with the six (6) good faith efforts as outlined in 40 CFR 31.36(e). Failure to demonstrate good faith efforts may lead to the rejection of bids. For the purpose of this program, the term "subcontractor" includes all construction, modification, and service work contracted by the bidder in the execution of the work under this contract. This construction of this project will be funded in part with funds made available from the Federal Government through the US Army Corps of Engineers Section 571 program. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations for construction projects receiving Federal aid including, but not limited to, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and the Davis-Bacon Act as amended. A five percent (%5) Bid Bond or certified cashier's check must accompany all bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
