Water Fountains for Various Parks. - A cashier's or certified check issued by a bank authorized to transact banking business in Florida, or a Bid Bond/Bid Security signed by a surety company that is licensed to do business in the state of Florida, payable to the City of Miami, for the amount as specified in the bid, is required from all Bidders., so indicated under the Special Conditions. This check or bond guarantees that a Bidder will accept the Contract as bid if it is awarded to Bidder. The Bidder shall forfeit bid deposit to the City, should the City award Contract to Bidder and Bidder fails to accept the award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all surety tendered to the City. Bid deposits are returned to unsuccessful Bidders within ten (10) days after the award and Successful Bidder's acceptance of award. If one hundred eighty (180) days have passed after the date of the Formal Solicitation closing date, and no Contract has been awarded, all bid deposits will be returned on demand.
