The action involves the various renovations and upgrades at the district’s buildings, facilities, and sites. Proposed building work may include roof restoration at the Middle / High School and Eden Elementary School, Pre-K classrooms and restrooms renovations and classroom ventilation upgrades at Grover L. Priess Primary School; Middle / High School auditorium renovations and auditorium entrance vestibule and corridor upgrades; Middle / High School guidance suite and main office renovations; and Eden Elementary classroom upgrades. Other possible upgrades may include air conditioning in select areas of the Middle / High School, Elementary School, and Primary School and Elementary School faculty room, art rooms, and library renovations. Site work may include pavement, sidewalk, and curb upgrades at the Middle / High School and related storm water management and site lighting upgrades; upgrades to parking areas, curbs, and sidewalks and related storm water management and lighting upgrades at the Primary School; and baseball / softball double-sided scoreboard at the Middle / High School. The project is located at multiple schools throughout the district mentioned above, in the Town of Eden. All bidders shall be expected to keep bid prices firm for 45 days from date of bid opening, during which time the Owner will be able to make awards therein. Mail in bids are to be sent to the attention of: Eden Central School District District Office - Attn: Frances May 8289 North Main Street Eden, NY 14057 Prime contractors who are non-bidders returning complete sets in good, unmarked condition with the above time limit will be refunded also. No part of the deposit will be refunded for partial and/or damaged sets of the drawings and specifications. The bids will be made as specified by the architect in the Information for Bidders and will include a certified check or a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the Base Bid. The Bid Bond will state that the Bidder will enter into the Contract if awarded by the Owner and execute further security for the faithful performance of the Contract as required by the Owner. Bidders will note the required conditions of employment and the minimum New York State Labor Department prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to advertise anew, and to award a contract for the whole or such portion of the work as it determines to be in the best interest of the District. The work of this agreement shall include, but not limited to, all labor, materials, tools, equipment, plant, supplies, shop drawings, layout, transportation, supervision, contributions, insurance compliance with all agencies (Town, County, State and federal as may be required), and shall cover all other items necessary for the performance of the Awarded Contracts as shown detailed and/or implied by the following documents and as defined herein. This requisition is intended to supplement the Contract Specifications and drawings and must be used in coordination with these documents to fully understand the Scope of Work. Requirements given in one area thus are applicable to all. This requisition does not generally repeat scope requirements given in the Contract Documents, but clarifies and coordinates the work.
