Midtown - Gray Street Bikeway Enhancements consists of installing bike racks in various locations throughout the area commonly known as Midtown District in Houston, TX. Additionally, ground graphics are to be installed. Bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount from an FDIC insured bank or surety company licensed to issue bid bonds in the State of Texas. The check or bond must be payable to the order of OWNER or name OWNER as obligee and the bank or surety shall be liable to the OWNER for the amount thereof in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and furnish payment and performance bonds as hereafter required within ten (10) days after the date of notice of award. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond, a payment bond, and a maintenance bond on the forms provided with the Bid Documents, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price from a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to issue such payment and performance bonds. The surety on the payment bond must be the surety on the performance bond. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive formalities or irregularities in bidding. In case of lack of clarity in stating prices, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous interpretation thereof or reject the Bid.
