County : Kent County Project Description : The proposed improvements of this project consist of widening for shoulders, sidewalk or multi-use path on both sides of College Road; intersection improvements to accommodate bicycles and drainage improvements. Some utility relocations will be necessary, as well as acquisition of right-of-way and easements. Additionally, the entire roadway will be overlaid with new pavement. Project Justification : This project was identified by the city of Dover as a priority need and supported by the Dover Kent Metropolitan Planning Organization. This roadway serves as a critical east/west connector and needs to address the transportation needs for all modes and users. As of September 21, 2024, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated Construction year is 2027. DEDOT - College Road, Kenton Road to McKee Road *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP).
