It is the intent of this specification to obtain a firm price for the purchase of a water utility supplies and materials for the City of Bedford Public Works Department. Supplies and materials to include but not limited to water fittings, water pipe, sewer pipe, sewer parts, cast iron fittings, D-Chlor tabs, degreaser, fire hydrant meters and parts, clamps, gate valves, glad packs, and check valves. This RFP does not commit the City to award a contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to seek additional or new submittals, negotiate terms and conditions, to waive technicalities or informalities and to accept any submittal deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Any contract will be awarded on the basis of recognized competence and integrity within the field and other factors deemed relevant by the City, and while price 4 will be an important factor in the City's decision, price will not be the sole determining factor.
