Renovation of a water / sewer project in Barrie, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of Barrie is pre-qualifying Civil Subcontractor(s) to participate in a potential second stage competitive process for the Anne St. Booster Pump Station Project. The objective of this project is to construct a new booster pump station and to rehabilitate the existing Anne St. reservoir cells to supply City of Barrie pressure zones 2N and 3N, which will be located on the east side of the existing reservoir. The four (4) zone 2N booster pumps supply water from Anne St. reservoir to the Bayfield Elevated Tank (ET) within Zone 2N. The three (3) zone 3N booster pumps will pump water from Anne St. reservoir and service Ferndale ET within zone 3N. The booster pump station will also be used as a chlorine reformation facility using gaseous chlorine as per City practices. The station will be equipped with a standby generator and will also be capable of housing and utilizing a future solar photovoltaic power system. Stage II ITB timeline to the prequalified has yet to be issued.
