The request for proposal can be found on the Sibley County website Sibley County wishes to contract with an outside consulting firm or individual to provide subsurface sewage treatment systems inspection services. The contracted Septic Inspector shall perform such administrative duties as may be set forth within the Minnesota Rules Chapters 7080 through 7083 Sibley County Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulations, other County codes, this Request for Proposal, or as may be required by the Board, Planning Commission or by statute. Responsibilities of the contractor shall include but is not limited to the following: 1. Contractor agrees to be the primary contractor to provide the inspection services as hereinafter provided. To the extent contractor is unable or unwilling to provide the services, the secondary contractor will provide the services. 2. Contractor agrees to provide services as part of the septic design process, including soil verification services and other services. Contractor will bill those costs directly to the landowner/applicant. 3. Contractor agrees to provide inspection services of new subsurface sewage treatment systems (SSTS or septic systems) in accordance with Minnesota State Statutes (M.S. 115.55 et. seq), Minnesota State Regulations (Rule 7080 et seq), and applicable county ordinances.
