The Town of Falmouth Manager acting on behalf of the Falmouth Waterways Committee will accept sealed bids for the Great Harbor Ramp Reconstruction. The work consists of the Great Harbor Ramp Reconstruction as shown on the plan prepared by Cape & Islands Engineering, Inc. dated March 8, 2023, and consisting of 1 sheet. The Bidder agrees to begin construction of this work by December 2, 2024 General Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit. The amount ofthe bid deposit shall be an amount of 5 percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum total bid price, payable to the Town of Falmouth, MA. The bid security will be retained until the successful bidder has executed the contract with the Town, whereupon it will be returned. If the bidder fails to execute the contract within 30 calendar days of the Notice ofAward, the Town may annul the award and the bid security will be forfeited. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 120 calendar days, after the actual date of the opening ofthe Bids The successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Construction Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Construction Payment Bond with a surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D inclusive. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Bidders requesting Contract Documents by mail shall include an additional nonrefundable treasurer's or cashier's check, payable to the Town of Falmouth, MA in the amount of $15.00 per set to cover costs of handling and mailing 1. Removing and disposing of approximately 1,000 square feet of boat ramp. 2. Sawcut for removal of approximately 200 square feet of pavement and replacement with cast in place concrete. 3. Removal, stacking and reinstallation of the existing landing ramps and floats. Work is to Reconstruct the Great Harbor Ramp as shown on the plan prepared by Cape & Islands Engineering, Inc. dated Mar/8/2023. The existing concrete ramp will be removed and replaced. Question Deadline 10/18/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be received in writing by Cape & Islands Engineering, Inc., 800 Falmouth Road, Mashpee, MA 02649 Attn: Raul Lizardi-Rivera, at least seven (7) days before the date set herein for the opening of bids.
