Site work for a water / sewer project in Waldo, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and doing the work of constructing, according to Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. The work of constructing Town of Waldo Water Department Water System Improvements Water Line Connection to Central Talladega Contract No. 1 DWSRF Project No. FS010545-01, Contract No. 1 Contract No. WA24 124 will be let under one Contract, the principal items of work are detailed herein below. 1. 8" HDPE Pipe, Pressure DR11 6,800 LF No refunds will be made except to Prime Contractor Bidders, which shall be refunded for one bid set. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 180 consecutive calendar days and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF THE CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
