The Charlestown Parks and Recreation Department is seeking proposals for the installation of a labyrinth. Labyrinths are used world-wide to quiet the mind, calm anxieties, recover balance in life, enhance creativity and encourage meditation, insight, self-reflection and stress reduction. The practice of labyrinth walking integrates the body with the mind and spirit. The Charlestown Parks and Recreation Department would like to transform Pawaget Park (the former Mud Cove) into a meditative and reflective area, as it has a picturesque boardwalk that leads out to view Ninigret Pond. Pawaget Park is located off Route 1 in Charlestown The official address of the park is 20 Meadow Lane in Charlestown, RI. The park has a wetlands area, and I located near Ninigret Pond and is bordered by DEM property. The Town reserves the right to reject all proposals/bids and to accept that proposal/bid which it deems in their sole judgment to be in the best interest of the Town.
