Demolition, site work and remodeling of a fire / police facility in Suisun City, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the remodel of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Suisun City Fire Dept. Remodel - Phase 1 Base Bid: Phase 1 consists of Remodeling the existing fire station separation wall between the apparatus bay (garage) and business/dorm area into a 2-hour rated wall separation. The proposed upgraded 2-hour rated fire wall separation is to extend to upper roof deck. Kitchen door, storage, lobby door and attic doors are to be relocated and upgraded to corresponding rated openings. The relocated openings are in coordination with phase II future remodel plans. For bonding purposes, the Engineers Estimate is $150,000-250,000. Phase I remodel also includes the replacement of the existing water heater in addition to the relocation and upgrade of one (1) electrical panel. Additive Alternate: The existing single shower room is to be divided into two separate shower areas with a new shower partition and individual shower heads and Shower area new tile finishes and shower accessories. Contract Scope: Construction, demolition, renovation, hazardous material removal, site acquisition, construction financing, and facility operations during occupancy. Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of the bid documents to the City in writing via e-mail to Gemma Geluz at ggeluz@suisun.com. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the City in response to such questions will be posted on the Suisun City website. The deadline to submit questions is 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, unless subsequently modified by the City by addendum. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. It shall be the Bidder's responsibility to ensure it has received all addenda issued prior to submitting a bid. Labor Code of California, the Director of Industrial Relations for the State of California has ascertained the current general prevailing rate of wages for employer purposes, in Solano County, State of California. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A State of California contractor's license at the time the contract is awarded. (Note: A Class B contractor license is acceptable as long as 2 others are included, at least one possessing a Class A or C-36 License.) The successful bidder shall furnish a bid bond, a Faithful Performance Bond, Materials & Labor Bond and, when work is completed, a one -year warranty bond. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall possess a valid Suisun City business license prior to start of work. The City of Suisun City reserves the right to postpone the date and time for the opening of proposals at any time prior to the date and time announced in the advertisement. All proposals shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The City of Suisun City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or informality in the bidding. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
