Site work and paving for a civil project in Dunn, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
West Pearsall Street Culvert Replacement. Description: The project consists of replacing a dual box culvert with a constructed bridge over Juniper Creek. The constructed bridge spans 26 feet and consists of 18-inch pre-stressed concrete cored slabs with abutments and concrete approach slabs. The bridge roadway is designed with a curb and gutter and a safety rail. Associated work includes the installation of approximately 164 LF of 10" DIP sewer, with 64 LF of 20" steel encasement, new 4-foot diameter manhole, and the relocation of the 6" DIP water line, 177 LF of 8' high gabion walls along the stream. Storm catchment basins will be added on both the north and south sides or the proposed bridge. Incidental work includes erosion and sedimentation control measures, by-pass pumping of channel flow, and the revegetation of disturbed areas on private property.
