The Town of Bolton is seeking paving services to repave a section of road on Boys Club Road in Bolton Vermont. This section of Boys Club Road had extensive pavement damage due to the severe weather that occurring during the July 9th - 11th flooding. Along Boys Club Road there is a section of road between two tunnels that connect Boys Club Road to Route 2. This project would bring the road to Vermont Codes and Standards. It is expected that the project may require permits from the Agency of Natural Resources and/ or the Army Corps of Engineers to complete the work The July 2024 Storm, Baryl, hit the Town of Bolton resulting in severe flooding and erosion damage. Boys Club Road in Bolton Vermont lost a section of paved road almost completely. This section of road has a culvert and a catch basin next to the road that may need to be dug out due to sediment build up from the flood. There is a section of road base that was eroded and will have a hole that is about 5' across, the width of the road, and about 5' deep that will need to be rebuilt before paving can be completed. Finally, the road will need to be scraped/leveled off before the final coat of paving can be put down. All work will bring this section of road back up to Vermont Codes and Standards. Location Information: Boys Club Road, Bolton Vermont, GPS: 44.3831089, -72.9269906 Once awarded, the contractor will prepare, implement, and document their construction efforts required to bring the indicated section of the Boys Club Road back to Vermont Codes and Standards. This project will require the removal of debris and fill used to temporarily fill the hole, the rebuilding of the road base, the evening of the two ends of the paved road to match their heights, and the repaving up to a final top layer wear coat for this indicated section. The contractors will be responsible for the Scope of Work, identifying required permits, and documentation of the project throughout. Documentation should be in accordance with FEMA requirements, with specific details about materials, staff, hours, equipment, and environmental considerations such as equipment staging, debris removal and dump locations, and any work that will require environmental hazard protection permits. Proposals must remain valid for at least 90 days. If extenuating circumstances prevent the submission of a physical packet in a timely manner, contact the Town Administrator to coordinate the submission of an electronic packet.
