The County of Burlington has issued a solicitation of bids titled "Transportation and Disposal of Waste Latex Paint" (CPU-24-0072). Bids MUST be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the amount bid, not-to-exceed $20,000.00 and shall be made payable to the Burlington County Board of County Commissioners. If the Successful Bidder fails to enter into such contract, or neglects to perform after acceptance of bid by the County, then the check or security deposited by it shall, at the option of the Board of County Commissioners, be retained as liquidated damages, or if bid bond has been supplied, the surety shall be liable for the amount of the bid bond. The Successful Bidder must provide to the County a performance guarantee in the amount equal to TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT (25%) of the awarded amount. This performance guarantee is not required if the contract amount is for merchandise or equipment only and the total awarded amounts to less than $5,000.00. The surety company providing the Bid Bond must be one licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey. If supplying a bid bond, it must be accompanied by a Power of Attorney for the Attorney-in-Fact. All bonds submitted must be original with a raised seal. All licenses and permits, including for personnel and vehicles, required to perform work under this contract shall be valid and in good standing at the time of bid submission. The Successful Bidder shall keep said licenses and permits valid and in good standing throughout the contract term. The Successful Bidder shall provide copies of any such documentation to the County immediately upon receipt of a request. Failure to comply with this requirement shall be grounds for immediate termination of the contract. Bidders are cautioned that they may be subject to penalty under the applicable Federal, State and Local laws for failure to ensure all persons and equipment used in the performance of contract work possess the required licenses.
