As of November 19 2025, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the early design phase. It is anticipated bidding will commence in December 2026, with construction starting in June 2027. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Easterly District Capacity Improvements Project addresses model predicted sewer surcharge and potential flooding problems within the Easterly Service Area and provides system capacity improvements to convey runoff from the 5-year, 6-hour storm. The recommended improvements are not required to achieve CSO control within the Easterly Service Area. This project will construct replacement or parallel relief sewers to achieve a level of service (LOS) maintaining the HGL a minimum of 10-ft below the ground surface, or within the crown of the pipe, whichever is shallower. The proposed project would meet the requirements of Control Measures 12 and 13 in Appendix 1 of the Consent Decree to provide wet weather flooding relief for District and intercommunity relief sewer systems.
