The purpose of this specification is to define the janitorial services requirements for various facilities owned and operated by the City of Murrieta that are included in this contract. The objectives of the City are to secure a timely, consistent, and cost-effective janitorial contract from one contractor and to ensure clean and safe office facilities for the employees and customers doing business with the City. The work covered in this specification includes furnishing all labor, equipment, some supplies, and supervision necessary for complete janitorial service. It shall be understood that in addition to these services, all tasks incidental to cleaning functions not specifically listed but normally included in general janitorial practices will be provided. The City will consider innovative solutions and alternatives that will best accomplish the desired outcome. PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT The City will be scheduling and limiting the number of participants (50) allowed into each facility during the site walk. This scheduling is to ensure the safe operation of each facility while limiting disturbances and distractions to staff during the site walk. It will be imperative that anyone who wishes to submit a proposal and participate in the job walk receive an appointment time verification. Only those who have received an appointment time via email will be allowed to participate in the site walk. Scheduled appointment times will only be available by e-mailing Bryce Wilson at bwilson@murrietaca.gov. In the e-mail, provide Attendee's Name, Company Name, Telephone Number, and Attendee's preferred E-mail; all spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
