Renovation of a stadium in Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
Make roof repairs to leaking areas at DCU Center, Worcester MA Contact: Stephen McDonald, Assistant Purchasing Agent -*The name and address of the bidder must appear in the upper left hand corner of the envelope. The City of Worcester is not responsible for bids not properly marked. he City of Worcester is requesting proposals to troubleshoot and repair the infiltration issues occurring on the roof or through the exterior wall panel system at the DCU Center Arena. The scope of services requested shall include the following: 1. Labor to include efforts to provide all staging or lifts, selective demolition per onsite Engineer's direction (this may include removal of wall panel system, as well as EPDM materials, termination bars, flashing, and counter flashing), to install all recommended solutions by onsite Engineer, and to clean up work site completely (to return to conditions prior to arrival). 2. This proposal will be based on a time and material proposal not to exceed. Contractor to include all hours estimated to include the first day related specific to setting up staging and preparation of the work site prior to the engineer's arrival on day two. Additional time will include the breakdown and removal of the staging and clean-up of the site upon completion of the selective demolition and engineer's proposed installation solution. It is estimated that the contractor will need to include 2 additional days between set up and break down for the actual selective demolition and reinstallation. a. Prepare your proposal with the following breakdown: i. Mobilization and staging (total costs as one lump fee). Must include all DPW permitting and Police Detail costs if any lifts are used or the effort to install staging requires closing off of streets or sidewalk access. ii. Labor for the two days of proposed demolition and reinstallation based on a total of 48 hours (estimate includes 3 days with 2 workers each day). Breakdown this labor as follows: total number of workers x total hours per worker x labor rate = total labor costs not to exceed. Billing will be done by actual hours worked. iii. Demobilization and final clean up. This will be a lump sum fee. iv. Contractor to arrive prepared to include the following materials in the reinstallation: a. EPDM roofing membrane and uncured flashing membrane b. Sealant (compatible with EPDM) c. Sheet metal flashing d. Termination bar and fasteners v. Contractor shall submit invoices for the purchase of the materials used and include in their proposal (unless otherwise defined in existing City Contracts) their proposed mark up % on the purchase of the materials. Contractor shall bill based on the quantity of materials used at the cost, plus mark up. vi. It is possible that the initial demolition will require the engineer to need more time to provide the proposed resolution than the day of demolition. In that case, the contractor is to include in their bid a unit price to either demobilize/remobilize until we can return to complete the installation based on the proposed recommendation or the cost to leave all staging in place for a period of 3 working days before returning to site with a proposed reinstallation scope from the engineer.
