The Contractor shall supply and be responsible for all permits, labour, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, snow dump tickets, as well as any and all other associated requirements that may be deemed necessary to carry out the complete snow and ice maintenance operations at the eight locations described herein. ) The Contractor shall be responsible to clear snow /ice and apply de-icing materials (e.g. sand and/or salt and/or ice blast) to all designated roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, steps, doorways, wheelchair ramps, loading docks, emergency and fire exit stairways, pathways, oil filler pipes, gas outlets and fire hydrants as required to ensure safe conditions for both public and private use. c) The services provided by the Contractor shall include, plowing, loading work, hauling, snow melting, snow blowing, mechanical sweeping/brushing and ice removal, hand shovelling, sweeping, salting, sanding, and ice melter application, as appropriate to expedite the work in an efficient, expedient and safe manner. d) The Contractor shall be responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and tools required to provide the complete snow maintenance services required. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to remove all equipment and materials from the individual site location(s) in a safe, proper and lawful manner when all work is completed. e) The Contractor shall remove snow with care and prudence to buildings, trees, shrubs, fences, curbs, interlock pavers, equipment, signs and surfaces: all damage caused by the Contractor and their employees, equipment and machinery will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor will be responsible to correct any damage to the satisfaction of the City of Ottawa Representative. Commercial General Liability insurance issued on an occurrence basis for an amount of not less than $5,000,000 per occurrence for any negligent acts or omissions by the Contractor. Such insurance shall include, but is not limited to, bodily injury, death and property damage including loss of use: premises, property and operations liability; products and broad form completed operations liability; blanket contractual liability; cross liability; severability of interest clause; contingent employers liability; personal injury liability; owner's and contractor's protective coverage; non-owned automobile liability; broad form property damage; employees as additional Insured; occurrence property damage.
