Pella Public Library, a department of the City of Pella, Iowa, is seeking bids for the replacement of our existing Simplex 4100+ fire alarm system. Replacement includes all the following tasks, broadly described: 1) Any necessary pre-work site inspections. 2) Demolition and disposal of old system. 3) Installation of new system, re-using existing back wiring and boxes where possible. 4) If necessary, installation of additional devices such as horns, strobes, pull-stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, annunciators, etc. to ensure the new system is code-compliant. 5) Working with our security team at Per-Mar Security to ensure the system can successfully dial out to report an emergency or trouble. 6) Working with our IT team to ensure network connectivity and access, if such functionality is available with the provided system. 7) Post-installation site walkthrough and basic operation training. A copy of the system operations manual as well as any related shop drawings or documentation shall be provided to the library upon completion of the job.
